MAPIT

The above three photographs were taken by a witness whilst out on his boat with his son. He was of the coast of Southport a number of years ago when something reflecting sunlight caught his eye. He could clearly see an unusual object moving around in the sky. He reached for his camera and took the few photos he could. Again, numerous analysts have looked at the series of photographs and believe them not to have been doctored in any way. If fact, according to the witnesses location and the time of the sighting, the suns reflection on the object seems to be consistent, as if there was a refective object in the sky that day. The suns refections on the object is characteristic of its location and direction in the sky at the time of the exposures. You can clearly see that the object in question resembles that of a disc with a gold coloured top and silver coloured rim. The object was said to make no sound as it moved around in the sky and then hovered in a vertical stance. There have been numerous sightings over the years of discs occasionally travelling whilst maintaining a vertical stance. No wings, engines or tale can be seen.

Steve Yarwood of MAPIT has conducted some analysis himself and found a remarkable similarity between the Southport UFO and the Heflin photographs from 1965. The first photograph on the above left shows the Southport UFO in Grey Scale. The second photograph shows the Southport UFO now rotated at 90%. The third photograph shows the Heflin UFO taken in 1965. Note the similarities. Attempting a 3D model to move around in a virtual space to gain correct angles may even add more wait to its similarity. We await further analysis... (Special Thanks to Steve Yarwood).

The above three photographs are taken from a series of about 12 in total. The witness who contact MAPIT during 2008 had taken a number of photographs of an object that was irratically moving around the sky. As you can see the sky was relatively clear. The black line passing through the photographs is a telephone wire in the distance. The object which remained bright white in colour seemed to morph into different shapes. The witness said that the object seemed to take on the appearance of a flying humanoid. Even though our analysts do not agree with the flying human appearance they do agree the object is unusual, due to its reported movement and morphing. Data received from the Meteorological office confirmed that the wind was travelling 8 knots that day from the North-East. The object in question was travelling South...

The above three photographs are taken from a series of five that were sent to MAPIT Head Office. The photographs were taken in Eccles, Manchester around 10.00am on the morning of July 10th 2005. The witness states...

First of all, I would like to point out that I am a big skeptic as far as UFO sightings are concerned but in some ways this only makes me more determined to show the photos to people and to try and get some kind of answer or comment about them. The bottom line is, that myself and colleagues know what we saw whilst not knowing what is was and ultimately if need be would take a lie detector test to prove that we are telling the truth. The photos were taken using a Cannon 300D camera with a 300mm image stabilising lens. The original photographs untouched are available if required. At around 10.00am this morning July 10th 2005 I was sitting outside with 4 colleagues when I saw a very bright flashing rotating object in the sky. This I pointed out to everyone, and everone saw it. At this point I must say that I am one of the worlds greatest sceptics with regards to UFOs. I managed to photograph the object and have 6 very good photos of it. Please do not take this e-mail as a crank contact as I must admit that I would be very dubious but others saw it as well. To continue... 3-5 minutes after the object had passed over we all saw another object flying in at the opposite direction at great speed against the wind direction and seconds later suddenly took a shap turn to the left, second later to disappear from view. We are all professional people and quite frankly have better things to do with our time than to make wacky e-mails or photos but we all feel that what we saw was totally unexplainable taking into account the possibilities of the object being a weather balloon or plane reflecting the sunlight. I must say once again, please do not take this e-mail as a hoax. I have the photographs to back up our claim of seeing a UFO.

An number of investigators that have not seen all the photographs speculate that the strange looking object is nothing more than a canopy for a large kite, however when looking at the series of photographs as they were taken, you can clearly see that the object looked to be changing in shape. Also, through obtained weather data from the Meteorological office, the object was travelling against the wind. Also, there was mention to a second object that was moving quickly and taking sharp angle movements. Our analysts have looked at the full series of photographs and confirm that they do not believe the photographs to be fake in any way and that the photographs do not show any known conventional aircraft. Taking into consideration that there were more than one witness to the events, MAPIT can only conclude at this time that what ever was in the sky that morning over Eccles, remains a mystery...

The above photograph was taken by George D. Thompson of Manchester. Whilst out walking Mr. Thompson looked up into the sky and saw an unusual object he could not identify. Mr. Thompson watched as the object moved off into the distance as if it was following an aircraft. He remembers think to himself that there was no noise coming from the object. The only sound was that made from the aircraft in the distance. The photograph has been analysed by two independent sources and both confirmed that the photograph was not tampered with in any way. Innitial thought were that the unusual object was some type of exotic kite, however, investigators have yet to find a kite that resembles the object. Also, we could not find any evidence of a tether being used; - none could be seen on the photograph even when light blasted. MAPIT investigators are still looking for a rational explanation that we would be 100% happy with..

Special Thanks to Mr. Thompson.

The photograph above was taken by Alex Mera whilst in Anglesey, Wales a numer of years back. Investigators innitially thought that the object was obviously a large cigar shaped Solar Balloon. However, taking into consideration the witnesses statement and the weather data. nvestigators were not too sure...

Details about the investigation can be found in our investigations section entitled: The Anglesey UFO...

Special thanks to all parties for the distribution of this information. We hope it encourages our readers to submit their photographs and share their experiences...
